I put together a fall mixtape and probably spent way too much time thinking about what songs should go on here, but I guess that’s the fun of making mixtapes. Hope you enjoy.
How fine you are
how fine it is to
growing in the ways
He has shown us
how fine to
know you in the ways
you have shown me
in the wind
the wind is my Father’s
my Father’s breath is change.

Alfred Munnings reading aloud outside on the grass (circa 1911). Harold Knight, R.A. (1874-1961). Oil on canvas.
Munnings (English, Newlyn School, 1878–1959) was known as one of England’s finest painters of horses, and as an outspoken enemy of Modernism.
Knight was a close friend. There were profound changes in Knight’s palette, richer, more colorful, a clarity of light and a growing distance from the gritty realism of his early years. Portraiture, figures and interiors were preferred.
